Terms of Service

The rules for using Guidesnap at guidesnap.app.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Guidesnap ("Service") at guidesnap.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms in full. If you do not agree, you must immediately stop using the Service. Continued use constitutes acceptance.

2. Description of Service

Guidesnap is an AI-powered SaaS tool that converts screen recordings into structured PDF guides using automated transcription, step detection, screenshot extraction, document generation, and in-browser editing. Output is generated by AI and provided "as is" — we make no guarantees regarding accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any particular purpose.

3. Account Registration

You must provide accurate information when registering. You are solely responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old. We reserve the right to terminate or suspend any account at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason.

4. Pricing, Credits, and Payments

  • New accounts receive 3 free guides upon registration.
  • Pay as you go: After your free guides, each additional guide costs $3 from prepaid balance. Top-ups start at $10. Prepaid balance does not expire under normal use.
  • Pro plan: $29/month includes 30 guides per month. Team plan: $79/month includes 90 guides per month. Guides beyond your monthly allowance are charged at $3 each from prepaid balance.
  • Enterprise: Custom volume and pricing — contact guidesnap.app@gmail.com.
  • A guide is consumed when you start processing a recording, whether drawn from free guides, a monthly allowance, or prepaid balance — regardless of output quality.
  • Prepaid balance and subscription fees are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, except where our Refund Policy explicitly allows.
  • Subscription plans renew monthly until you cancel. Cancellation stops future billing; it does not refund the current billing period. Monthly guide allowances reset each billing period and do not roll over unless we state otherwise in writing.
  • Balances and allowances may be forfeited upon account termination for Terms violations.
  • All payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. By purchasing, you agree to Paddle's terms.
  • We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Changes do not affect guides or balance already purchased or included in your current billing period.
  • You agree not to initiate chargebacks or payment disputes without first contacting us at guidesnap.app@gmail.com. Unjustified chargebacks will result in immediate account termination and forfeiture of remaining balance and allowances.

5. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • AI output may contain errors, inaccuracies, or omissions
  • Results vary based on video quality, audio clarity, and content
  • We do not guarantee every video will produce a usable guide
  • You are solely responsible for reviewing generated content before use
  • A guide allowance or prepaid balance charge applies upon initiating processing, regardless of output quality

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload content that violates any law or third-party rights
  • Upload malicious files or content
  • Reverse engineer, hack, or attempt to compromise the Service
  • Create multiple accounts to abuse free guides
  • Resell or sublicense access to the Service without written permission

Violations result in immediate account termination without refund.

7. Intellectual Property

You retain ownership of uploaded content. You grant Guidesnap a limited license to process it solely for guide generation. Generated PDFs belong to you. We retain all rights to platform code, design, and infrastructure.

8. Data Retention

Videos are stored temporarily for processing and deleted after completion. We are not responsible for data loss from service interruptions, failures, or account termination.

9. Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time without liability.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:

  • Service is provided "AS IS" without warranties of any kind
  • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 30 days preceding the claim
  • We are not liable for damages from AI-generated content errors or omissions

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Guidesnap and its owner from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by applicable law. Any disputes shall first be addressed through good-faith negotiation via guidesnap.app@gmail.com before any legal action is pursued.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time without prior notice. It is your responsibility to review them periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
